Smile SOnata 2006 B1448 code

My light for the airbag come on and today i went to my mechanic and he done a scan and the code was B1448 and he told me the machine was saying could be something with the wiring for the passenger site,after that he reset the and the light is not coming anymore on.Did somebody has the same code B1448 regarding the airbag light.I would appreciate if somebody will answer .Thank you very much to all of you for all your advise.

Here's Hyundai's definition of the code.
B1448 OC (Occupant Classification) -Passenger Sensor Mat Defect.

Personally, I don't like messing with airbag related problems, because it only takes one small thing...and the bags go off. Your problem could be a bad connection or a bad Mat. Have you had anybody in the passenger seat since you had the light turned off?

the light when off one day ago but just for couple of seconds and after came back and today after the mechanic reset after the scan we try to see and i sat on the seat to see if the light go off and yes the light when off as soon i was on the seat and after i went off the light came back like normally done.Please advise.Many thanks.

Aren't you still under warranty? Take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. You may need a new seat.

You need to see your dealer. This repair is part is a recall Click Here. They will need to either send your seat in for repair or replace the seat bottom. If you do not have this open campaign on your car an they give you the run around. You will need to call Hyundai at that point.

No there is no warranty....I have 187000 km and I hope the light will not come up.

You could try stoping by, or calling your dealer and asking them about your problem. They still might be able to help.
