Check your PM. I just sent you a service manual. It should tell you every thing you need to know, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Yes its not too bad. There are some hidden bolts behind the intake plenum you cant see very easy. Once you get them few electrical connections then the rubber intake pipping. then the intake plenum bolts to the intake.
Its is coil over so you will not need spark plug wires. Make sure you use NGK spark plugs. The service manual will help too.

I also have an 06 V6 Sonata so I'm interested to hear how you make out changing your plugs. I want to tackle it myself also.

Yes, that'll help a lot... the shop manual doesn't mention how to access the 3 spark plug at the rear... I'll definately stand by...

Yea, the manual doesn't have step-by-step instructions for spark plugs. Page EMA-89 will start the section on removing and installing the plenum.

If you see a part that is in your way...you have to go to the section that covers that part.

Cool

I always have a commiment issue... so, I'm just going to go out and buy plugs... so at least I can stare at them....I know NGK is recommended but there are several different NGK plugs out there from platinum to Iridum.. price range from $2.99 (plat.) to $13.49 (Iridum laser)... There is also Iridum one for $6.99.... which one to choose???

I would go with the standard Iridium. The price is reasonable and I'm pretty sure that is what is installed from the factory.

Standard Iridium is what is installed. Some times you will find Champion in it but I do not recommended. I would use NGK Iridium.
