With my iphone, I started with a Belkin that plugged into the cigarette lighter on my 2009 Sonata (my new favorite car, surpassing my old BMW 325) and then got the $30 cable from Hyundai Service Department.

The Belkin just worked for listening to the ipod thru the radio but it just played the music, period) and in chicago, there was a constant changing of channels as there aren't any empty frequencies around here.

The factory cable extends the usage of the ipod; you can look at different playlist and songs and pick ones you like. You can also 'tune ahead' within a playlist to get to another song besides the one playing, a nice feature. The cable is works well with the iphone, but it does cause connection errors more than I would like...

Actually the message you get asks if you want to put the phonein flight mode; just say no. It does work but the software from Microsoft is hunky and needs an update. I got a connection error today with a failed application error box! It went away when I disconnected the phone; the system went black and reset, thenthe radio came on. Seems dangerous to have these issues in a moving car however.

Just out of curiosity is your iPhone updated? Not positive if that would affect it but I can check into the software tonight to see if the car only recognizes the older software and if there is an update for the car. And how could you turn your back on the 325? Lol

Yea I have the 3GS & just downloaded 3.1 the newest software on the phone. I was also wondering, since my NAV Maps are actually dated 11/15/2007 !!!
