Default Immobilizer?

Does anybody know for sure that the 2007 Entourage Limited does or does not have an immobilizer system installed? And the key has a transponder in it?

I always thought that it did, but I'm hearing/seeing conflicting stories about this.

I'm now thinking the immobilizer is only part of the anti-theft system and that there is no transponder in the key.

Any info would be appreciated!

It doesn't have immobilizer system. Cheep key will work in it.

Thanks....

So, no transponder in the key. Is the immobolizer just part of the anti-theft system then?

I'll have to try to start the van after opening the door without the FOB or key and see what happens!

Immobilizer system on a Hyundai is the chip in the key. Or the chip in a smart key. The remote on your van is just part of the theft system. If you lock with the key fob an someone breaks in the van it will not start without the key fob.
