Question Codes P1529 and P0715 on 2004 Santa Fe

Hello Everyone,

Well my wifes Santa Fe is acting kinda strange. It sometimes goes into 2nd or 3rd gear while driving. It is throwing the following codes.

> P1529 Manf Speed Control Aux Inputs
> P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "A" Circuit

From what I have gathered from the Manual and looking on the forum the "Input Shaft Speed Sensor" is the likely suspect causing both codes. Could I be correct. Also....where is this sensor located and can it be removed without a lot of trouble.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes your right. Most likely the cause is the sensor. Make sure your conection is good an clean. The sensor is on top of transmission under thermo stat housing. Fairly easy to get at.
