Default Flat Towing

Does anyone know if Hyundai approves flat towing (as with a towbar behind a motorhome) for any of its models? Particularly interested in the Sonata either manual or auto. Manual isn't specific only says put in neutral and leave key in accessory position.

I would say no. The manual for the 2011 Sonata says it is acceptable to tow the car with the rear wheels on the ground and the front wheels off the ground. If the front wheels must be on the ground there is to be a towing dolly under them. The key in ACC and transmission in neutral instruction is for use in emergencies only.

Nope -------- not Hyundai's, although many other current AT's, e.g. most of GM's, Ford's, Honda's, are approved for this (Motorhome.com "Dinghy List")
Oh Well!
