DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides information related to the thermostat of some 2010MY Elantra
(HD) and Elantra Touring (FD) vehicles which may experience a MIL (malfunction
indicator lamp) illuminated with DTC P0128 (Coolant Temp Below Thermostat
Regulating Temperature).
NOTE: There are no performance issues associated with this condition.
Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin:
• If the MIL is illuminated with DTC P0128, then replace the thermostat with a
new part.
• If the MIL is NOT illuminated, then inspect the lot number on the thermostat and
replace if necessary
