Non standard paint

I spotted a Sonata SE sporting a Mirabeau Blue paint job at a dealer. It was absolutely beautiful but the salesman was ignorant about the colors said it was stock. Has anyone come across other non-standard colors on Hyundais?

I think it was probably the Indigo Blue Pearl that you saw don't you think? Colours sometimes look different depending on the lighting so it can look brighter or darker at different times. Sometimes the manufacturer may decide to offer different colours during the production run too, so in that case they may not yet be reflected in any printed material or on the web site. I can't imagine a dealer would repaint a new car in a colour that was not available from the factory.

The only way to know for sure is to check the paint code on the door post.

Well we did end up buying an Indigo blue one but there was no mistake, Mirabeau Blue was on that car. Had someone who had more knowledge verify it.

I'm thinking your both right. Hyundai may have added another colour, or had supply problems and used what they had.
