weird problem

hey guys,
hope u people are fine. Btw me have a strange problem with my hyundai accent 2003. whenever is send my car for servicing and we drain the engine oil from the oil pan we get more than 5lts of oil. put each time we added only 3 lts. my fuel consumption is nearly normal and am not losing coolant water.

so can any1 help me in that , where is this excess oil coming from

I don't know what to say to this situation. Obviously the engine does not manufacture oil and if no coolant is getting into the crankcase from a leaking head gasket then the only possibility is the engine is being overfilled at the time of the oil change.

If you have a shop do this and they are using bulk oil maybe their equipment is malfunctioning and delivering more oil than it is showing. Has this happened more than once?

That is weird. How often do you check the oil level? I agree with Rallyman, but they should still check the dip stick level to make sure the level is correct.

That is very odd yes. I with everyone else here. I would check your oil right after your next oil change. Then just keep a close eye on it.

I always check everything under the hood after any servicing (paranoid) My car seems
to be slightly overfilled after an oil change at my Hyundai dealer. Car holds 3.8 litres,
i think they put in 4...I use bulk dino oil. It's always over the full mark on the dipstick
after a change.

even i am ashtonished. everytime the car is serviced i was there, i saw the mechanik putting 3 lts of oil and i cant understand wats hapening , wtill i will check it againg at the next servicing

nope me and only me drive my car and i cannt understand whats hapening, also i noticed a minor increase in the oil level in my car. when i serviced it the dipstick level was at the "F" mark but today whn i checked the oil level it was slightly more than the 'full" mark. till now the car has doen only 2000kms lets w8 for 2000kms more and we'll see
