If you start car an get a rough idle an check engine light comes on, there is a PCM reflash for this concern!

If I had to take a wild guess I'm guessing it was a missfire code. P0300 I'm seeing alot of that lately. There is a reprogram for this!

It came on about 30 seconds after start,1st start of the day...stone cold...no rough
idle or anything.???Just came home...no CEL. Hopefully it was nothing,I'll be keeping
an eye on it now. If it happens again I'll run it over to the dealership next week, since
I don't work now till Jan.4th !!!....Ho Ho Ho !!!

I wouldn't have cleared the CEL that way. Now you'll never know what caused the problem. If it was a glitch, the CEL would've gone out on it's own. And you would still have a record of the problem in the memory.

Whoops! figured the ecu would still keep it...I'll blame my dad,he's a mechanic
his bright idea!!! Anyhoo, drove all over today visiting friends&relatives.....
no CEL so far.

Yea...disconnecting the battery( unless it's really quick ), resets the control module. And while you're under warranty...any info the techs can get helps. I've read and cleared codes that were one time things, hopefully that's your problem.

Hmmm. Last night I come out of work at 3 am, start my car, very cold (-20c)
I get a CEL. Idle was rough, driving home it ran rough also like it had a misfire. When I got home I shut it off restarted, CEL goes out and idles & runs smooth as normal.First time this has happened, if it happens again I'm thinking I might need this reflash.:noidea:

If I were you I'd take it into the dealer and have them look at it. It's still under warranty and the CEL should not be coming on so you may as well have them take care of it. Even though the CEL went out the code that triggered it may still be stored so they will know where to look for the problem.

I'm actually heading to the dealer now to see what they say,and yes the cel code should be stored.

Well its going in next Tuesday for an ecu update reflash lol! I checked out Hyundai Auto Canada service site this afternoon and there was a tsb issued on Dec.28/09 #09-36-012 rough idle 07-09 MC Accent.

Forsure get the reflash done. But I'm leaning more tward a coil. Coils on Accents are getting very common too.

Yea, they took the previous recall program, and couple other after and melt them into the 179..

There is a later program, but I have not seen GDS wind up and offer it to me.
