I had a lot of repairs done on my car the past months, because of the SES light issue, which was finally fixed on august.
During the 2 or 3 months my car went to the dealer about all 2 weeks or so, I noticed a fall on my MPG (I'm in Canada, so it's L/100km).
I think it was in the beginning of July, or something like that.
Prior to this, I had about 7, maybe 8 L/100km, dropping at about 6 when I was doing more highway. After a while it went to 9, sometimes 10.
I thought this was because the SES light was often on, but since the end of august the light never came up again, and I'm still at about 9 (for example I'm currently at 9,4).
I think that's far too much for a car which is supposed to do 5,5 city, 4,6 highway, 5,1 average...
I also noticed, I would say at the same period, that when the gas engine is running to charge the battery, it's noisier, running at more RPM, and I noticed when looking at the MPG screen that it goes to the max.
Maybe this could explain the problem.

Does any Hybrid user notice the same problem, and does anyone have any information about that ?

You need to check with your dealer an see if you have the newest ECM update recall. I'm told this recall help MPG alot.

My last ECM update was around august 20th. I just saw on recent topics there is still a lot of recalls to be done on my car, if canadian ans US are the same. It should be in one of them.
I'll contact my dealer soon to check this with them.
