I followed the instructions for checking canister and purge line ,and when I did pull off the 1/2 in larger hose near the canister I now could pump fuel fast ,now they say the next step is to clean or change the canister or its little air filter inside, I did that and still cant fill the tank fast, so I pulled off the smaller 1/4 inch line coming out of the canister and again now could fill the tank fast, so that's telling me the smaller hose is the problem, so I tried to blow on it and its clogged or the purge valve on the other end under the hood is in the shut position, so whats next to check? can the purge valve be checked with a small smoke alarm type 9 volt battery? also there is a small air filter shut off valve iside the canister ,could it be that?

I really dont believe its your Purge Valve, If your Purge Valve was stuck open It would be a hard start after fueling, If it was stuck closed would not do anything. No if your Close Canister Valve(CCV) was stuck closed this would cause your concern! or if the CCV Filter was plugged up will cause this issue too! I will attch a TSB that will explane the operation the evaporative emissions system. Go all the way to the bottom of TSB for code P0446 that is the most likley your concern.

Thanks so much that is the best illustration I have seen yet and the photos are great OK heres where IM at I did fine out that when removing the large hose/2 in to the canister I could pump fuel at a normal fast rate, OK then I removed the small 1/4 in hose from the canister to the purge valve and I could still pump the gas fast ,so I thought maybe the purge was stuck shut and tried to blow air through the steel unconnected line to the purge valve and could do it , so in the procedure you sent me its suppose to be closed , the purge valve ,so that's a good thing ,that's why I could not blow air through the line. so I hooked up the 1/4 in line and the 1/2 in line was already hooked up and now back to not able to pump gas at a fast rate , so it leads to the canister close vale and filter inside the canister, lets hope this does it when I check it and clean it, when I have the canister removed and can get at the terminals on the close valve can I try to energize it with a 9 volt small battery to see if its working ? now I'm getting some where, but there is one last question, My check engine light came on with a 455 code I have a small cheap scanner why is this indicating a large leak , when there isn't any leak if anything its plugged up? OH I cleared the code and have been drive around for 2 days and no engine check light came on, So after I clean and check the close canister valve and put a new air filter in the canister should this take care of the fuel up problem and the engine check light if it ever comes on again I don't know Thanks ,you helped me a lot .

The P0455 is a large leak probably due to you having one of the hoses off the car an it running. I really think you got this one nailed down! I think your right it is the CCV an Filter! I have seen this many times!!
Here are the Part Number you will need!!
Close Canister Valve(CCV) 31430-29000 MSRP~$44.02
Air Filter 31453-22900 MSRP~$9.14
PS: You can just use the cars battery to test CCV "+" on one side "-" on other! If you here it click an you can blow through "most Likley" Its good!
But if it was me I would just be safe an put both in! Like I said there know to go bad!!!

Im sorry those are factory Hyundai part numbers! Any part stores can cross the part numbers with aftermarket but honestly I dought you will find these aftermarket! you might! But honestly your better off using Hyundai OEM parts on this project!
