Hi All,

Has anyone got any experiences with this code, I have an inovva code reader, it tells me that it is the crank shaft position A Code. I am a little lost.

A little history, today was @ -40C with wind chill, wouldn't start, around 10am it did warm up a couple degrees and I was able to get it started, i let it run for about a half hour and then I shut it off, tried to start it about a hald hour later, won't turn over, I was thinking that I may have fried the battery from repeated boosting attempts, but I have the battey charged now, and it still won't turn over, so I finally put the code reader on it and got the p0335 code.

Regards.

Well the P0355 will not cause the car not to turn over. That code will cause the car to crank but no start. Is this a 4cly?

Most likely it's your crank sensor causing that code. The bad thing is you have to remove the timing belt to get at this sensor.

This was my Wed morning project before I left...

Sensor is marked in green for OP, then for giggles, note the balance belt... fella said he had noise,,, crazy that the belt broke and did not wipe the timining belt.. he drove it in, and ran it to diag it..

Hi All,
I feel pretty crappy to taking so long to get back and say thanks for the replies to this post. I must have gotten a little to excited about getting back on the road. Anyway, it turns out that it wasn't the crank sensor, my starter took a dive. I am still not sure how the p0335 code could be related to that but that was my issue. I replaced the starter and it fired up right away.

Thanks again.
